Community Guidelines

Last updated: 22 June 2026

Whisk.ai includes social features — profiles, posts, comments, likes, follows and shared cookbooks. These Community Guidelines apply to anything you publish, share or send through the Service. They sit alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Notice. Breaching these Guidelines may result in content being removed, your account being restricted, or your access to the Service being suspended or terminated.

1. Who can use the social features

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use any social feature of Whisk.ai. One account per person. Don't impersonate other people or organisations.

2. Things you must not post

Do not post, share or send anything that:

  • is unlawful, or that breaches Australian law or the law of any country where it is viewed;
  • sexually exploits or endangers children in any way, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any sexualised content involving minors — this is reported to authorities;
  • promotes terrorism, violent extremism, organised criminal activity, or instructions for making weapons or harmful substances;
  • incites violence, hatred, harassment, abuse, bullying or discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, serious disease, or other protected characteristic;
  • contains threats, doxxing, stalking, or non-consensual intimate imagery;
  • depicts or encourages self-harm, suicide, or dangerous eating behaviours — recipes and posts framed around starvation, purging, or extreme restriction are not allowed;
  • shares personal information about another person (including children) without their consent;
  • contains graphic violence, gore or shock content, or animal cruelty, beyond what is ordinarily incidental to cooking content;
  • infringes someone else's copyright, trade mark, recipe credit, photo credit, or other intellectual property — credit creators properly and don't pass off others' work as your own;
  • is misleading or deceptive — including impersonation, fake reviews, fake endorsements, health claims that are not substantiated, or AI-generated content presented as a real person;
  • is spam, including repeated posting of the same content, bulk follow/unfollow, engagement manipulation, off-topic links, MLM/pyramid recruitment, or affiliate links that are not clearly disclosed;
  • advertises or links to scams, malware, phishing, or pirated content;
  • promotes the sale of regulated, illegal or age-restricted goods or services (for example drugs, prescription medication, weapons, or alcohol/tobacco to minors).

3. Respect intellectual property

Only post recipes, photos, videos and text you created or have permission to share. Credit original recipe creators. If you adapt a recipe, say so. If you believe your copyright has been infringed, follow our Copyright & DMCA Policy.

4. Food safety and health

Recipes and AI responses on Whisk.ai are not medical, nutritional, allergen or food safety advice. If you publish recipes that include common allergens, raw or undercooked ingredients, alcohol, foraged ingredients, or are intended for special diets (e.g. infant feeding, pregnancy, medical diets), include clear warnings. Do not present unverified health claims as fact.

5. Account and platform integrity

Don't try to break, probe or circumvent the Service's security. Don't scrape, harvest or republish other users' content or personal data. Don't use bots, automation or fake accounts to inflate engagement.

6. Reporting content or users

If you see content or behaviour that breaks these Guidelines, report it to n.preece@outlook.com with a link to the content, a short description of the issue, and (if relevant) the user's handle. For copyright complaints use the process in our DMCA Policy. For urgent safety issues (threats, child safety, imminent harm), mark your email URGENT in the subject. We may also contact the relevant authorities where required by law.

7. How we moderate

We review reports and may proactively check content. We may, without notice:

  • remove, hide, blur or label content;
  • reduce its visibility in feeds, recommendations or search;
  • warn, restrict, suspend or terminate accounts;
  • preserve content and account information where required by law or to investigate abuse;
  • refuse to reinstate content or accounts.

We aim to apply these rules consistently, but Whisk.ai is operated by one person and response times will vary. Decisions are made in our reasonable discretion.

8. Appeals

If your content was removed or your account was restricted and you believe it was a mistake, reply to the moderation notice or email n.preece@outlook.com with the subject "Appeal" and a brief explanation. We will review and respond.

9. Changes

We may update these Guidelines as the Service evolves and as we learn what works. Material changes will be notified through the Service.
