• Strictly necessary — authentication. We store your signed-in session in your browser's local storage (a token issued by our auth provider) so you stay signed in across visits. Without this you cannot use account features.
• Strictly necessary — functionality. We store small amounts of data such as your preferences, dismissed prompts, theme choice and recently viewed recipes locally on your device so the Service works the way you've set it up.
• Push notifications (optional). If you opt in to push notifications, a subscription identifier is stored so we can deliver them. You can disable notifications in your browser or device settings at any time.

2. What we don't use

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or ad-retargeting technologies on the Service.

3. How to control cookies

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings, or use private/incognito mode. Signing out removes your authentication token from your device. Disabling cookies and local storage will sign you out and may stop core features from working.
